Arthur King was released on the big screen on March 15, 2024, and the film is rated as fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics have been showering praise on the Mark Wahlberg-starring film, and fans who have seen the film can’t stop talking about it. The film didn’t exactly draw a huge audience to theaters, but it didn’t have a very wide release either. So fans who were excited to see the film now have a chance to finally stream it. According to the latest listing on Lionsgate Play, Arthur King has been added to the upcoming list. The Mark Wahlberg starrer will be available on the Lionsgate Play app. There is no release date announced, but given the nature of premieres on the platform, the film will hit the streaming platform in July. The film was also distributed in multiple locations by Lionsgate. Surprisingly, India can watch the movie on streaming much earlier than the West. According to Forbes, the film is estimated to premiere on the Starz app on September 11, 2024.

About Arthur King

Directed by: Simon Cellan Jones, Arthur King is based on the novel by Swedish racing driver Mikael Lindnord Artur – A dog who traveled through the jungle in search of a home. The action takes place over the course of ten days and 435 miles that adventure racing driver Michael Light embarks on. He meets a feisty street dog they call Arthur. Desperate to win, Light finds a sponsor to support him and a team of athletes consisting of Simu Liu, Nathalie Emmanuel and Ali Suliman at the Adventure Racing World Championships in the Dominican Republic. As they work hard to win, we see Arthur redefine the meaning of connection, humanity and everything in between.

Speaking to MovieFone about preparing for the role, Mark Wahlberg said, “The thing that prepared me the most was working on ‘Lone Survivor,’ because you need a different person for the adventure racing. They just have different makeup. It’s all about the suffering. It’s about the mental and physical endurance. The level of suffering that they go through and the things that they put themselves through. You have to be a special person to be able to do that. So I think having a torn meniscus on the first day of shooting gave me the headspace that I needed.”
