Xbox Cloud Gaming Announced for Select Amazon Fire TV Devices

While you won’t be able to get the full Xbox gaming experience on anything other than a dedicated Xbox gaming console, starting next month in July, a collaboration between Xbox and Amazon will bring Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) to select Amazon Fire TV devices. Specifically, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in over 25 countries will be able to play games directly from the Xbox app on select Amazon Fire TV devices via cloud gaming, giving you more ways to play your Xbox console on more devices and enjoy your favorite games.

So… what are these “selected devices”? The Xbox app will initially be available on Fire TV 4K Max (2023) and Fire TV Stick 4K (2023), with prices starting at $79. By combining a compatible Fire TV Stick, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership, and a compatible Bluetooth-enabled wireless controller, gamers will have a portable and affordable option to play games available on Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Commenting on the partnership, Daniel Rausch, vice president of Fire TV and Alexa, said:
