Solar Power Units: Punjab govt to set up three 4-megawatt solar power units in Bathinda | Chandigarh News

Chandigarh: The Punjab government will construct three more solar power plants with a capacity of 4 MW each in Bathinda district. New and Renewable Energy Minister Aman Arora said on Sunday that this is aimed at decarbonizing the agriculture sector. The Punjab Energy Development Agency recently launched a 4 MW solar power plant at Tarkhanwala village in Bathinda to meet the electricity demand of farmers. The plant exports 6.65 million units of annual production to the nearest grid substation of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) at Sekhu village. The state expects to commission three more projects with a cost of Rs 50 crore and a total generating capacity of 12 MW by June 2025.
