TD Africa, ZTE Announce Strategic Partnership to Launch Nubia Affordable Smartphone Series – Nigerian CommunicationWeek

The inauguration ceremony took place at the Providence Hotel Ikeja GRA and was also the official announcement of the strategic partnership between the two companies, which aims to revolutionize the Nigerian smartphone market.

Speaking on the partnership, Mr. Taofeek Akinlolu, Group Head of Mobile Business at TD Africa, stated that ZTE’s commitment to innovation and developing superior mobile technology that empowers users informed why they were extremely proud to partner with them to bring these extraordinary devices to the African market.

Akinlolu, citing recently released data from the International Data Corporation (IDC) that showed that smartphone sales outpaced feature sales for the first time in the first quarter of 2024, noted that this is an indication of how dynamic African markets have become.

According to him, “this report shows that Africa is a dynamic and rapidly growing market, full of potential, with a young, tech-savvy population and increasing internet penetration.
