LG focuses on innovative solutions at home – gadget

LG Electronics delights guests at this year’s edition of the East Coast Radio House + Garden Show at the Durban Exhibition Center.

The home electronics giant is showcasing its latest innovative home appliances and cutting-edge home entertainment solutions at the event, which will take place from June 29 to July 7. It offers an immersive experience where attendees can experience LG’s latest products first-hand.

At LG’s dedicated exhibition space, homeowners and lifestyle enthusiasts discover and experience the brand’s diverse offerings that transform modern living spaces. From stunning OLED TVs to smart home appliances, LG inspires visitors with the limitless possibilities that innovations offer to elevate everyday life.

“We have an incredible offering that combines advanced technology with beautiful design to enhance everyday experiences,” says Carol Guedes, head of home appliances sales at LG Electronics SA. “The East Coast Radio House + Garden Show is the perfect platform to demonstrate how LG innovations can enhance home entertainment, streamline household chores and ultimately improve people’s lives.”

Pioneering home entertainment

Taking centre stage is the world’s first completely wireless 4K OLED TV – the stunning 77-inch LG OLED evo M3. This pioneering technology gives you the freedom to design your space however you like. The TV frees you from the clutter of cables by wirelessly transmitting real-time video and audio at up to 4K resolution and 120Hz via the included Zero Connect Box.

“The LG OLED evo M3 TV revolutionizes home entertainment by enabling you to install this premium display almost anywhere thanks to its advanced wireless technology,” says Guedes. “8 million self-illuminating pixels, bright and bold visuals, and AI-enhanced picture and sound quality deliver an incredibly immersive experience.”

This breakthrough technology marks another milestone in LG OLED evo’s 11-year history as the world’s leading OLED brand. The pioneering evo M3 OLED TV is complemented by the LG S95QR soundbar, the world’s first triple-channel upward-firing soundbar. The Dolby Atmos speaker configuration, including rear speakers, creates an impressive soundscape that completely immerses users in cinematic surround sound.

“The multi-dimensional sound from the S95QR up-firing speakers has to be felt to be believed,” says Guedes. “It uses artificial intelligence to optimize audio processing for movies, sports, music, games and more, so you’ll truly feel like you’re right in the middle of the action.”

Other home entertainment products on display include a vibrant 86-inch QNED 4K UHD Smart TV with Quantum Dot and NanoCell technology and a 77-inch OLED C3 4K Smart TV optimized for gaming with a 120Hz refresh rate and LG Game Optimiser. For outdoor entertainment, the portable LG XBOOM XL7S party speaker combines earth-shaking bass with dazzling pixel lighting effects.

Smart devices for modern life

When it comes to smart devices, LG aims to streamline your daily routines with smart design and connected technologies. The real hit is the 38-liter SolarDOM made of stainless steel with a carbon heater – introducing professional cooking possibilities at home.

“The LG SolarDOM charcoal heater is a real game-changer for home cooks,” says Guedes. “It allows food to absorb heat faster and more deeply, browning the outside for a crispy texture while keeping the inside juicy—just like grilling naturally over charcoal.”

This advanced heating system saves up to 30% in cooking time and 20% in energy consumption compared to conventional ovens thanks to the “no preheating” process.

LG’s variety of smart devices use AI and sensor data to optimize performance. The 21kg front-loading washing machine with AI DD automatically adjusts the wash cycle for superior fabric care based on load characteristics. LG’s new Side-by-Side Refrigerator uses UVnano technology and LinearCooling technology to extend food freshness by up to a week and eliminate 99.99% of bacteria from the water nozzle using UV light.

The Matte Black QuadWash steam dishwasher uses LG’s advanced QuadWash technology with four powerful spray arms that remove stuck-on dirt from every corner. The elegant flat door design ensures a seamless appearance of the built-in, and TrueSteam technology makes the dishes shine, leaving fewer water stains.

“From laundry to dishwashing to cold food storage, we design our home appliances to make household chores more efficient with intelligent automation and high efficiency,” says Guedes. “Through our cutting-edge home entertainment solutions, LG provides a comprehensive ecosystem for today’s lifestyle.”
