LG focuses on innovative solutions at home – gadgets

LG Electronics delighted guests of this year’s edition of the East Coast Radio House + Garden Show at the Durban exhibition center.

During the event, which runs from June 29 to July 7, the home electronics giant will showcase its latest innovative home appliances and cutting-edge home entertainment solutions. It provides an immersive experience where participants can experience LG’s latest products first-hand.

From stunning OLED TVs to smart home appliances, LG inspires guests with the limitless possibilities of its innovations to improve the quality of everyday life.

Pioneering home entertainment

The world’s first completely wireless 4K OLED TV takes center stage – the breathtaking 77-inch LG OLED evo M3 TV. This pioneering technology promises the freedom to design your space however you want. The TV frees users from cable clutter by wirelessly transmitting real-time video and audio up to 4K and 120Hz using the included Zero Connect Box.

“The LG OLED evo M3 TV is revolutionizing home entertainment by allowing this high-end display to be installed almost anywhere thanks to advanced wireless technology,” says Guedes. “8 million self-illuminating pixels, bright and bold visuals, and AI-enhanced picture and sound quality create an incredibly immersive experience.”

This breakthrough technology marks another milestone in LG OLED evo’s 11-year history as the world’s top OLED brand. The pioneering evo M3 OLED TV is complemented by the LG S95QR soundbar, the world’s first triple-channel upward-firing soundbar. The speaker configuration of this Dolby Atmos system, including the rear speakers, creates a towering soundscape that fully immerses users in cinematic surround sound.

“The multi-dimensional sound from the S95QR’s upward-firing speakers has to be experienced to be believed,” says Guedes. “It uses AI to optimize sound processing for movies, sports, music, games and more, so you really feel like you’re inside the action.”

Other home entertainment products on display include a vibrant 86-inch QNED 4K UHD Smart TV with Quantum Dot and NanoCell technology and a 77-inch OLED C3 4K Smart TV optimized for gaming with a 120Hz refresh rate and LG Game Optimiser. For outdoor entertainment, the portable LG XBOOM XL7S party speaker combines earth-shaking bass with dazzling pixel lighting effects.

Smart devices for modern life

When it comes to smart appliances, LG aims to streamline everyday tasks with intelligent design and connected technologies. A real highlight is the 38-liter stainless steel SolarDOM with a carbon heater — bringing professional cooking capabilities to the home.

“The LG SolarDOM charcoal heater is a game changer for home cooking enthusiasts,” says Guedes. “It allows food to absorb heat faster and deeper, browning it on the outside, giving it a crispy texture, while keeping the inside juicy – just like grilling over natural charcoal.”

This advanced heating system saves up to 30% in cooking time and 20% in energy consumption compared to regular ovens thanks to its “no preheat” process.

LG’s various smart appliances use AI and sensor data to optimize performance. The 21kg front-loading washing machine with AI DD technology automatically adjusts the wash cycle to provide excellent fabric care based on the load characteristics. LG’s new Side-by-Side refrigerator uses UVnano and LinearCooling technology to extend food freshness for up to a week and eliminate 99.99% of bacteria from the water nozzle using UV light.

The QuadWash steam dishwasher in Matte Black uses advanced LG QuadWash technology with four powerful spray arms that remove stuck-on dirt from every angle. The elegant flat-door design ensures a consistent look, while TrueSteam technology keeps your dishes sparkling, leaving fewer water stains.
