Samsung Galaxy ring with a tip that measures skin temperature and other health functions

The Samsung Galaxy Ring was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in February as a new category of wearable devices for the company. However, the South Korean tech giant has only shown a few glimpses of its smart ring so far, but that is expected to change soon. The much-anticipated smart ring is set to launch at the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10 with a slew of biomonitoring features. Ahead of its launch, an APK analysis sheds light on a few of them, including skin temperature measurement, snoring detection, and more.

Samsung Galaxy Ring Health Features

According to a report by Android Authority, the Samsung Health app is expected to support health monitoring features that will come with the Galaxy Ring. Although these features are not available to the public, they were activated after the Samsung Health app APK was removed.

According to reports, Galaxy Ring users will be able to measure their stress and heart rate. The Health app is also said to allow you to track the above-mentioned metrics through a graph. Moreover, Samsung’s smart ring will allow you to measure temperature through your skin and predict your period.

The report suggests that the Galaxy Ring may also provide snoring detection, but it will only be available when the smartphone is used as a companion. Most of these biomonitoring features are already available in the Galaxy Watch lineup, but the arrival of the Galaxy Ring could offer a more subtle way to track your health for those who don’t want to wear a smartwatch.

Other Galaxy Ring Features

The Galaxy Ring case was reportedly leaked last month and may have the appearance of a jewelry box with flat edges. It reportedly has a raised circular section in the center that will keep your smart device in place, and may also have a charging indicator to show the ring’s battery status, as well as a charging pin.

Although the case is made in white, the report suggests that it may be available in more options. It is also expected to support wireless charging. Another report suggests multiple size options, ranging from 5 to 12, and the ring battery size may vary depending on size.
