Sony Bravia 7 Mini LED Series: Details

Sony Bravia 7 Series TVs feature Cognitive Processor XR, which the company says recreates the way people see and hear. Sony says the processor is equipped with a scene recognition system that recognizes the main points of a scene and analyzes the data to produce detailed visual effects.

Cognitive Processor XR together with the mini LED display panel enable features such as XR Backlight Master Drive and XR Contrast Booster, which use local dimming algorithms to control the display’s LEDs, increasing the depth, detail and contrast of visuals. The new processors also offer features such as XR Triluminous Pro, which essentially expands the display’s color spectrum, and XR Clear Image, which minimizes video noise through dynamic frame analysis.

For watching content, the Sony Bravia 7 Mini LED series supports XR 4K upscaling, which upscales lower resolution videos to near 4K quality. The TVs also support Dolby Vision, which enhances High Dynamic Range (HDR) content for vivid colors and contrast.

Bravia 7 Series TVs include Sony Pictures Core, which offers a wide range of movies and content in the IMAX format. This service uses the display of an IMAX-certified TV for image quality.

The TV audio system supports Dolby Atmos, an object-oriented sound virtualization technology that provides a better surround sound effect.

For gaming, the Bravia 7 TVs feature HDR tone mapping, which automatically adjusts HDR settings when you set up your Sony PlayStation 5 gaming console with the TV. The TVs automatically switch to game mode when connected to the PS5, providing improved responsiveness and minimized lag. The TVs support up to 4K gaming at up to 120 frames per second. It also supports features such as variable refresh rate and auto low latency mode for an enhanced gaming experience.
