NEW ORLEANS – Entergy New Orleans today announced the addition of Leroy Nix to the operating company’s leadership team. Nix will serve as vice president, regulatory affairs and public affairs for Entergy New Orleans, a role in which he will be responsible for the company’s relationship with the New Orleans City Council and general stakeholder relations.

“Leroy is a great addition to our leadership team at Entergy New Orleans, and we are excited to welcome him aboard,” said Deanna Rodriguez, president and CEO. “He has a strong reputation for delivering results and building relationships at the federal level and will be an immediate asset to our local efforts in New Orleans.”

Nix joined Entergy in October 2022. As vice president of federal strategic policy and stakeholder engagement for the company, he was responsible for developing and executing policy, engagement, and market strategies to drive regulatory outcomes supporting the five operating companies. Prior to Entergy, he held leadership positions at Southern Company as director of federal government affairs and later as director of market strategy.

Nix holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Montevallo and a Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. In May 2022, he completed an Impact Fellowship at the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.

At Entergy New Orleans, Nix will assume the position previously held by Courtney Nicholson, who has transitioned to assistant general counsel in the Entergy Legal Department, leading the regulatory affairs team supporting Entergy New Orleans.
