Premier Energies secures 350 MW solar module order from Apraava Energy, ET EnergyWorld

Mumbai: Premier Energies, a manufacturer of solar cells and modules, on Wednesday said it has signed a 350 MW module supply agreement, along with its subsidiaries — Premier Energies International and Premier Energies Photovoltaic — with Apraava Energy, an integrated energy solutions provider.

The agreement is aimed at promoting renewable energy projects in India, an official press release said. The supply agreement will see Premier Energies International supply solar modules to Apraava Energy’s solar project in Rajasthan, it added.

“We believe that the supply of modules for this project will play a key role in enhancing the efficiency and performance of Apraava Energy’s initiatives in Rajasthan, contributing to the broader vision of clean energy in India,” said Chiranjeev Singh Saluja, Managing Director, Premier Energies.

Premier Energies has an annual installed capacity of 2 gigawatts of solar cells and 3.36 gigawatts of solar modules as of March 31, 2024, the release added.

“We are pleased to partner with Premier Energies to procure high-efficiency solar modules for our latest greenfield solar project in Rajasthan,” said Naveen Munjal, Business Development & Commercial Director, Apraava Energy.

He added that the partnership underlines their commitment to strengthen India’s renewable energy ecosystem by sourcing domestically manufactured modules and setting up a utility-scale solar power plant that would play a significant role in achieving the country’s renewable energy goals.
