DIALOGUE #4 – Lifelong learning: the role of local partnerships in promoting jobs and growth

“Strategies for Italy’s transformation: demography, work, digitalisation and public policy” is a series of webinars with OECD experts, taking place from May to November 2024.

In a rapidly evolving world, Italy and its regions face serious challenges related to demographic change and labour shortages. These problems, common across Europe and beyond, require innovative solutions, and sharing experiences and perspectives can help identify effective responses.

Aimed at public sector managers at all levels of government, it explores leading practices in addressing these challenges. The series covers topics such as integrating digitalization into public administration, implementing AI in enterprises, policies to include underrepresented groups in the labor market and promoting adult continuing education. It offers a platform to inspire practical and sustainable solutions based on international best practices.

Following a successful pilot in 2023, a new series of OECD Dialogues will continue in 2024, with the aim of exploring how Italy can chart a path towards a resilient and prosperous future, leveraging technological advances and innovative public policies.
