EG America Names New Head of Digital Commerce

EG America Names New E-Commerce Chief

EG Group, a British operator of petrol stations, convenience stores and food outlets in Europe, the US and Australia, has hired a new head of digital commerce for its EG America division.

EG America has named Whitney Johnson its new vice president of loyalty and digital commerce. In her new role, she will lead the organization’s loyalty program, digital marketing, brand management and retail marketing.

Prior to joining EG America, she served as President of retail, convenience and e-commerce consulting firm Capstone Growth Advisors and as General Manager of Merchandising at Gopuff, a Philadelphia-based U.S. consumer goods and food delivery company that operates in over 650 U.S. cities through approximately 500 micro-fulfillment centers as of October 2021.

Headquartered in Westborough, Massachusetts, EG America owns and operates more than 1,600 convenience stores and fuel dispensaries in the U.S. The company operates 10 brands in 30 states, including:

  • Cumberland Farms
  • Certified oil
  • Fastrac
  • Kwik Store
  • Loaf and jug
  • Mini Mart
  • Quick stop
  • Sprint
  • Tom Thumb
  • Turkey Hill

EG America generates annual revenue of $10.2 billion. EG Group began operating in the U.S. in 2018 after acquiring Kroger’s convenience store business, which included 762 stores.
