NEW DELHI: FMCG stocks ended on a positive note on Tuesday with top gainers including LT Foods Ltd. (up 6.00%), Heritage Foods Ltd. (up 5.00%), Emami Ltd. (up 3.68%), Jyothy Labs Ltd. (up 2.77%), Umang Dairies Ltd. (up 2.72%), Zydus Wellness Ltd. (up 1.84%), Britannia Industries Ltd. (up 1.81%), Hindustan Foods Ltd. (up 1.80%), Colgate-Palmolive(India) Ltd. (up 1.67%) and Nakoda Group Of Industries Ltd. (up 1.25%).

Sheetal Cool Products Ltd. (down 2.52%), Dodla Dairy Ltd. (down 2.31%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd. (down 2.05%), Honasa Consumer Ltd. (down 1.33%), Vadilal Industries Ltd. (down 1.31%), Bikaji Foods International Ltd. (down 1.31%), Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Healthcare Ltd. (down 1.10%), Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. (down 0.98%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (down 0.75%) and Marico Ltd. (down 0.55%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended the day up 112.66 points at 24,433.2, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed 391.26 points higher at 80,351.64.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (up 6.69%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (up 2.61%), ITC Ltd. (up 2.03%), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 1.97%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (up 1.87%), Titan Company Ltd. (up 1.87%), Britannia Industries Ltd. (up 1.81%), Cipla Ltd. (up 1.69%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (up 1.59%) and Eicher Motors Ltd. (up 1.57%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Tata Consumer Products Ltd. (down 0.75%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (down 0.67%), Shriram Finance Ltd. (down 0.58%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (down 0.57%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (down 0.43%), JSW Steel Ltd. (down 0.42%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (down 0.29%), Tata Steel Ltd. (down 0.28%), Infosys Ltd. (down 0.28%) and IndusInd Bank Ltd. (down 0.27%) ended in the red.
