Stock Market Sectors: Stock Market Update: Fertilizer Stocks Fall, Sensex Falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilizer stocks were trading lower at 10:19 am on Wednesday, with Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd. (up 0.57%) and Sikko Industries Ltd. (up 0.45%) among the top gainers.

Madras Fertilizers Ltd. (down 6.06%), Agro Phos India Ltd. (down 5.63%), National Fertilizers Ltd. (down 5.58%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. (down 4.67%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd. (down 4.11%), Aries Agro Ltd. (down 4.07%), Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd. (down 3.90%), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd. (down 3.70%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd. (down 3.15%) and Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. (down 3.14%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was down 96.75 points at 24,336.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 335.01 points at 80,016.63 around 10:19 am.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (up 2.8%), Britannia Industries Ltd. (up 2.05%), Eicher Motors Ltd. (up 1.52%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. (up 0.76%), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 0.73%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (up 0.62%), Grasim Industries Ltd. (up 0.61%), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (up 0.61%), Asian Paints Ltd. (up 0.52%) and Bajaj Finance Ltd. (up 0.46%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (down 5.44%), Shriram Finance Ltd. (down 1.62%), State Bank of India (down 1.47%), Tata Steel Ltd. (down 1.39%), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (down 1.35%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (down 1.35%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (down 1.19%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (down 1.08%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (down 0.91%) and Coal India Ltd. (down 0.9%) were trading in the red.
