Fortress to Enhance Workplace Safety with Strategic Acquisitions

Fortress Safety has acquired Remlive, a company specializing in the production of electrical safety warning indicators.

Kings Award winner Fortress says the move will see its product range expanded to include advanced live circuit detection technology from Bingley-based Remlive, which helps reduce workplace accidents and improve overall safety.

For the past 25 years, Remlive electrical safety indicators have helped keep the workplace safe by providing a visual reminder that a circuit is energized. Their products are used by some of the world’s largest companies across a wide range of industries including mining, automation, manufacturing, automotive and many more.

The acquisition enables Wolverhampton-based Fortress to expand its offering in the security market while leveraging Remlive’s electrical security expertise. The combined skill sets open up new opportunities for innovative technology development.

John Rollason, Managing Director of Remlive, said: “Fortress has the expertise and market reach to accelerate our mission to improve workplace safety. We see huge potential to improve global workplace safety and bring innovative new product ideas to market by combining our electrical safety capabilities with Fortress’ machinery safety expertise.”

Pete Browitt, Managing Director of Fortress Safety, said: “Remlive and their indicator products have a strong reputation in the market. This acquisition allows us to continue to deliver on our mission of ‘saving lives by delivering the best in safety’. By adding Remlive to our portfolio, we are strengthening our position as experts in machine safety and increasing our ability to help our customers deliver comprehensive solutions that keep people safe.”
