The economic prospects of Birmingham and Manchester are badly damaged by the Government’s failure to pursue plans to improve the West Coast Main Line to replace the canceled northern section of HS2.

The NIC is a publicly funded institution that recommends the major policy changes needed to improve the country’s competitiveness and quality of life by 2050.
