President Tinubu appoints NOSDRA CEOs in the Ogun-Osun River Basin – Voice of Nigeria

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved the appointment of Engr. Chukwuemeka Woke, as Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA).

The President also approved the appointment of Dr. Adedeji Ashiru as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority (OORBDA).

The appointments were announced on Wednesday in a statement signed by presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale.

engineer Woke is an environmental specialist and politician. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering and worked in the Environmental, Safety and Operations departments of the then Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

He also served as the Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area of ​​Rivers State and Chief of Staff at Government House, Port Harcourt.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ashiru obtained a PhD in engineering from Common Wealth University in the UK and led a consortium of major companies.

Ngelale said the CEO expected the new CEOs to delegate their powers to the agencies for sustainable gains while maintaining the utmost transparency in their activities.
