EaseMyTrip joins ONDC to support digital commerce in India

EaseMyTrip signs Letter of Intent to join ONDC, supporting India’s digital commerce transformation, enhancing travel services and promoting small business integration in the e-commerce sector.

New Delhi – EaseMyTrip.com announced the signing of a letter of intent (LOI) regarding joining Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). This move sees EaseMyTrip committed to this transformative ONDC initiative. The ONDC initiative, launched by the Government of India in 2021, aims to create an open, inclusive and competitive digital trade ecosystem. It lowers entry barriers for small businesses and promotes a level playing field in the e-commerce sector.

The letter of intent was signed during the ‘ONDC Startup Mahotsav’ event organized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), ONDC and Startup India. The ONDC Startup Mahotsav Conference, held on May 17, 2024 at Vanijya Bhawan, New Delhi, marked a milestone in the digital commerce journey in India.

The event was attended by over 125 startups and over 20 unicorns, including EaseMyTrip, which leveraged the opportunities offered by ONDC to democratize digital commerce in India. The ONDC Startup Mahotsav event brought together around 5,000 hybrid startups and included insightful panel discussions and a masterclass on supporting startups at ONDC.
