UiPath and Microsoft announce Copilot integration

UiPath, a leading enterprise automation and artificial intelligence software company, recently announced the integration of the UiPath Business Automation Platform with Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365. The integration will enable joint customers to automate more knowledge work and improve the end-user experience with UiPath. Microsoft Azure is the preferred cloud platform for UiPath, including UiPath Automation Cloud™.

UiPath business automation platform enables customers to increase productivity, transform user experiences and innovate faster through AI-powered automation. UiPath is one of the first partners of the Copilot ecosystem for Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams; With the plugin, joint customers can access UiPath’s enterprise-class automation capabilities with Copilot for Microsoft 365, Teams, UiPath Autopilot™, or their own custom co-pilot-like experience. These customers can Leverage Microsoft 365 Graph as a knowledge base and UiPath automation with document understanding models to automate end-to-end business processes.

Copilot for Microsoft 365 and Teams brings powerful new GenAI capabilities to knowledge workers around the world who use Microsoft 365 apps every day. Copilot for Microsoft 365 enables users to analyze, gain insight into information stored in the Microsoft 365 Graph, and collaborate with colleagues on tasks .

UiPath streamlines team automation

The UiPath plug-in and integration with Copilot for Microsoft 365 enable joint customers to automate end-to-end business processes with colleagues directly in Teams. Customers will have access to a ready-made automation library enabling them to run automations that perform common, repetitive tasks, as well as specialized automations designed specifically for tasks specific to a given function or industry. Users can also discover and run automations developed by their company.

For example, loan officers can now process loan applications directly through Teams by simply requesting a summary of loan applications received, asking UiPath to submit for approval and conduct required customer background checks, handling email communications with customers, and even obtaining digital signatures to lock in rates.
