Lunit completes acquisition of Volpar for $193 million

South Korean AI software developer Lunit has completed its $193 million acquisition of breast and lung imaging software company Volpara Health Technologies.

The deal, announced late last year, is expected to expand Lunit’s AI-based cancer diagnostics capabilities and give the company access to Volpara’s installed base in the U.S. market. Additionally, Lunit will integrate Volpara’s breast density measurement and screening platform with AI-based solutions for breast cancer detection.
