Travelsoft Becomes Global Leader in Travel Technology with Three New Acquisitions

  • TravelgateX, ATCORE i technology Travel connection technology join Travelsoft to create a global travel technology player, with platforms supporting all the mission-critical software and back office needs of the global leisure travel industry;

Travel technology group Travelsoft has announced three acquisitions in its growing portfolio of companies.

The group’s technology processes transactions worth €35 billion annually.

The news comes after TravelgateX revealed yesterday that it had joined the group in front of more than 450 attendees at its annual CON-X partnership conference in Majorca.

The new additions to the group mean that Travelsoft –which previously acquired Eventiz Group in May this year, Travel Compositor in 2023, and Traffics in 2022 – is currently present in over 80 countries, has 400 major clients and 1,000 travel service providers worldwide.

Its recurring revenues of up to €100 million per year leave room for “strong” organic growth potential Group now believes it can “solve all the problems that tourism businesses face” as well as destinations (DMOs) and tourism boards.

As with each previous Travelsoft acquisition, each brand will retain strong autonomy, including retaining its name, brand identity, leadership teams and technology platforms.

As part of this, Pedro Camara and Sandra Chinappen from TravelgateX; Dave Cruickshank, Andy Lennon and Mike Wright of ATCORE Technologyl and Alexandru Elisei of Travel Connection Technology will remain in their leadership positions.

The latest acquisitions were made possible thanks to a “significant” reinvestment from Christian Sabbagh and CAPZA, who “strongly believe” in the potential of this combination and the opportunities it will create for the group.

Christian Sabbagh, founder and CEO of Travelsoft, said the deal was a step forward. He said: “These three acquisitions represent a huge step forward for us in our mission to become a global leader in the travel SaaS industry.

Travelsoft as a group is currently hiring over 600 travel technology experts around the world, operating under seven brands.

This includes the Orchestra in France; Movements in Germany and Eastern Europe; Travel composer in Spain, Southern Europe, Latin America and Asia; Eventiz Group in France; ATCORE technology in the UK; TravelgateX in Spain and Travel Connection Technology in Romania.
