Home Depot Expands Same-Day Delivery Options with Instacart

Home Depot Inc. adds a new external partner to fulfill online orders.

The world’s largest home furnishings retailer is partnering with an on-demand delivery platform provider Instacart offer same-day delivery in as little as one hour from nearly 2,000 stores across the United States. Customers can now order home furnishing items, including home appliances, building materials, lighting fixtures and garden supplies, for home delivery.

The service also includes Instacart Big and bulky solution that enables retailers to offer same-day and scheduled delivery of large items weighing up to 60 pounds. Home warehouse also started cooperation the Walmart GoLocal white label delivery service coming late 2021

Home Depot offers same-day and next-day delivery delivery of items that will easily fit in your car, such as fasteners, paint and small tools through GoLocal in many markets nationwide. Eligible products have the WalMart GoLocal option offered during online checkout.

Meanwhile, major rival Home Depot, Lowe’s and Instacart began to form in September 2022 Same day delivery available at all Lowe’s stores. Thanks to the Instacart partnership, customers can order nearly 30,000 items and have them delivered in just one hour.

Whether they are looking for expert advice in-store or need fast delivery of essential items, we remain focused on prioritizing the needs of our customers across all channels.”

At the end of the first quarter of fiscal year 2024, Home Depot operated a total of 2,337 retail stores in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, 10 Canadian provinces and Mexico. The company employs approximately 465,000 associates.

Instacart partners with more than 1,500 national, regional and local retailers to facilitate online shopping, delivery and pickup services from more than 85,000 stores across North America.
