Suzlon wins 402 MW wind turbine order for Juniper Green Energy

Suzlon Group, an Indian renewable energy solutions provider, has secured orders for wind energy projects with a total capacity of 402 MW from Juniper Green Energy.

The projects will be implemented at a plant in Fatehgarh, a city in the Indian state of Rajasthan.

Suzlon will supply 134 wind turbine generators of 3 MW each, equipped with hybrid mesh tube towers, manage the project’s foundation, installation and commissioning processes, and provide comprehensive operations and maintenance services.

The project will provide electricity to 331,000 households and offset 1.3 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually.

The orders concern repeat orders for 3 MW Suzlon S144-140m and S144-140 m turbines from Juniper Green Energy.

Suzlon Group Vice President Girish Tanti said: “Juniper Green Energy has been a long-standing, repeat customer for us and we are delighted to be working with them again. This order helps us expand our presence in Rajasthan. The electricity generated from these projects will help realize the Rajasthan government’s vision to serve the people of the state with green energy.
