The United Arab Emirates is committing $10 billion to support key sectors of Pakistan’s economy

The United Arab Emirates has announced a $10 billion investment in key economic sectors in Pakistan.

The statement followed discussions in Abu Dhabi between His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Pakistan Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s economy and enhancing bilateral cooperation.

During a roundtable with IT specialists in Abu Dhabi, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized that his visit was focused on supporting cooperation and investment, rather than seeking loans.

“Our goal is to transform our economy and I am committed to working with our brothers in the UAE to achieve this,” he said.

He praised IT professionals from both countries for their key role in the digitization of various economic sectors.

The Prime Minister highlighted that 60% of Pakistan’s population is between the ages of 15 and 30, emphasizing the country’s commitment to the development of information technology, artificial intelligence and overall economic growth.
