Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2.2 is coming to Pixel devices

A very minor update is rolling out to Pixel devices in the form of Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2.2. Google only lists two bullet points in the changelog, but even the second bullet says “fixed various issues.”

The first fix addresses an issue that caused mobile data connections to drop even when a strong signal was present. We’re glad this has been squashed as it has popped up on Google’s issue tracker multiple times.

This update is available for Pixel 5a–Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, as well as Pixel Tablet and Pixel Fold.

Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2.2 bug fixes

Want to update to the latest QPR3 Beta 2.1? Google has released stock photos, so you can go that route if you need to. However, the easiest way to update will be to sign up for the Android beta program. You can register here. If you are already registered, go to Settings > System > System updates to check for updates.

NOTE: Google has discontinued OTA images because there is a “known issue with sideloading OTA images in Beta 2.” They recommend developers to flash full factory images. The rest of you can simply sign up for the Beta program.
