The portfolio creates significant opportunities for the repowering of wind farms, as well as the integration of hybrid and battery solutions. This strategic move also improves Statkraft’s market activities in both Spain and Brazil.

Statkraft also announced plans to divest Enerfin’s portfolio in Canada, the US, Colombia, Australia and Chile. “We appreciate the significant efforts made to develop these markets and believe in their future potential. We are committed to finding new owners who can continue to add value,” said Vartdal. The company will focus on a sales process that ensures value preservation and care for all stakeholders involved.

This acquisition marks a key expansion for Statkraft, reinforcing its commitment to advancing renewable energy on a global scale.
