Supermarket tech companies collaborate to create an omnichannel grocery platform

Retail technology companies eGrowcery and CresLane will partner to offer supermarket retailers customer-centric e-commerce solutions that integrate with personal sales channels, the companies said Tuesday.

eGrowcery is a Michigan-based provider of private label e-commerce platforms for the retail grocery industry, and CresLane Retail Solutions is a California-based provider of point of sale (POS) systems.

According to the partners, today’s supermarket retailers are increasingly adopting an omnichannel approach, combining grocery e-commerce with physical store interactions, with the goal of gaining a comprehensive view of consumer purchasing patterns. Modern POS systems help unify shopping experiences across platforms, enable accurate inventory management, and collect data to adapt business strategies. At the same time, e-commerce platforms ensure consistent customer engagement throughout their entire purchasing journey.

To meet these needs, eGrowcery and CresLane will offer a suite of standard technology solutions for grocery retailers, accelerating the adoption of digital and in-store technologies, streamlining promotions management and improving customer experiences both in stores and online, they say.
