CTS Eventim reports an increase in profits for the first quarter

Ticketing and live entertainment provider CTS Eventim reported growth in the first quarter of 2024, with its consolidated revenue rising to €408.7 million.

The Bremen-based company earned €182.8 million in the first quarter of 2024, an increase of 23.3% compared to the same period last year. Adjusted EBITDA (including earnings before interest and taxes) improved from EUR 67.6 million to EUR 92.2 million. The live entertainment segment increased its revenue by 4.8%, bringing the total amount to EUR 234.4 million.

Over the last year, CTS Eventim has been working for the company’s success; has been appointed as the official ticketing service provider for the 2028 Los Angeles Summer Olympics and Paralympics. Additionally, Chile’s Punto Ticket and Peru’s Telebilet – which were acquired by CTS Eventim in November 2023 – were consolidated for the first time in a full quarter. .

While CTS Eventim also made headlines for purchasing Vivendi See Tickets earlier this year, this was not included in the quarterly figures.

CTS Eventim CEO Klaus-Peter Schulenberg said that the company “achieved sustained, dynamic growth in its operating activities in the first quarter and achieved extraordinary success by winning a number of significant tenders for major sporting events.”

“They will give a positive impetus to the company’s development in the medium and long term,” Schulenberg said in a statement. “Tickets to the 2028 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles will further strengthen our already successful entry into the North American market.”
