Opium Paris x Jordan Air Ship PE SP | Release date and price

Rebirth has been Nike’s direction since time immemorial, as evidenced by the renewal of silhouettes from several decades ago. One of them is the 1970s Astro Grabber, re-launched thanks to their recent collaboration with Bode. Next, the Jordan Airship.

Archival silhouettes are typically introduced through collaborations, and then pairs are released in more solid colorways. In the case of the aforementioned Air Ship, Nigel Sylvester, Forget-me-nots, Awake NY and A Ma Maniére are just some of the people who spearheaded this effort. Next up: Parisian retailer Opium Paris.

The palette – Sail, Blue Chill, Black and Court Purple – evokes the colors of the Charlotte Hornets, a team that Michael Jordan has owned for over a decade and is now a minority owner.

Featuring a Sail leather base with perforated toecaps, Black highlights the profile Swoosh, eyelets and toe overlays while Court Purple highlights the collars and tongue tags. They say “Designed in Charlotte.”

The final touch is provided by nostalgic motifs, such as the retro pattern running along the spine, as well as the graffiti-style embossed “Paris” lettering decorating the side ankle.

The Opium Paris x Jordan Air Ship PE SP is scheduled to release on June 1 with a suggested retail price of $150. Find them on Nike SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers. Stay tuned for official photos to be unveiled in the coming weeks!
