Belgian grocery retailer Colruyt Group is testing StrongPoint cabinets for its online shopping service, Retail Technology Innovation Hub

StrongPoint food cabinets are equipped with multiple temperature zones that can accommodate a variety of products, ensuring fresh, frozen and ambient goods are properly stored until customer pickup.

“We are delighted to be working with a flexible partner like Strongpoint to help support our new online fresh food refrigerated cabinet service,” says Leen De Dobbeleer, Chief Innovation Officer at Collect&Go.

“As a grocery retailer, we face unique challenges, and what impressed us most about StrongPoint was how their solution was built specifically with grocery retailers in mind.”

Neil McCourt

Neil McCourt recently joined StrongPoint as a strategic advisor.

McCourt worked at Tesco for 22 years, ending as managing director of retail.

At Amazon, he served as vice president of order fulfillment in Europe, where he played a key role in launching the grocery store in five markets.

He was also one of the founding members of the Future High Street Forum and the UK Government’s Digital Advisory Council.

“We are thrilled to welcome Neil to the StrongPoint team. His extensive experience in both in-store and e-commerce across Europe, and particularly in the UK, is a perfect fit for StrongPoint. His advice will be invaluable as we build on our recent major successes in the UK and Spain with Sainsbury’s and Mercadona,” said Tveraabak.

“I am excited to join StrongPoint. I passionately believe in this vision and the role technology can play in improving people’s lives,” McCourt said.

“StrongPoint helps grocery retailers in the Nordic countries overcome the challenges that are increasingly apparent to retailers in the UK and other European countries, from increased labor costs to finding new ways to create safer stores and better shopping experiences.”

“I look forward to supporting them in bringing more of their world-leading retail technology solutions to their strategic key markets.”
