Epson expands its range of compact and energy-efficient business inkjet printers

MANILA, Philippines, May 24, 2024 – Epson, the global leader in professional printing, announced the Epson WorkForce Enterprise AM-C400 and AM-C550 – a new line of energy-efficient and compact mid-range A4 printers that optimize office layout without compromising on productivity.

IN According to a recent survey conducted by Epson Southeast Asia among 1,500 decision-makers and end-users in Southeast Asia, half of respondents (50%) said they would like to see more sustainable printers in the workplace, and almost 3 in 5 cited energy efficiency as the most important factor when considering sustainable printing. Additionally, 79% felt compact printers played an important role in workplace printing requirements.

With high print speeds of 40 and 55 pages per minute, even in duplex mode, these new models are the long-awaited A3 equivalents of the A4 models: Epson WorkForce Enterprise AM-C4000 and AM-C5000, introduced in early 2023, equipped with the same solid features and functionalities.

The WorkForce AM Enterprise Series uses a C-shaped paper feed path for efficient, consistent printing at high speeds. The compact AM-C400 and AM-C550 models can print at speeds of up to 40 and 55 pages per minute in both single-sided and double-sided printing modes. With minimum dimensions of just 465mm x 570mm, the AM-C400 and AM-C550 are among the most space-saving models in their speed range on the market. Thanks to its compact dimensions, the A4 AM series is ideal for small offices or busy, customer-contact work environments such as reception areas.

Designed for excellence, the Epson WorkForce Enterprise AM series features Heat-Free technology for consistent, reliable printing at high speeds while using up to 85% less energy compared to laser printers, which saves on electricity bills. The new printers also minimize operating costs and use up to 59% energy with fewer spare parts and consumables. This means less periodic replacement of parts, and therefore less waste and time spent on replacement and maintenance. Moreover, the use of heatless printing technology eliminates the use of heat in the ink ejection process, allowing the printer to print instantly within seconds of the first print.

The A4 models feature ample space and a user-friendly configuration, such as a seamless front-loading design and a 10.1-inch touchscreen panel that users can use to customize the layout. The AM-C400 and AM-C550 offer eco-friendly features such as an energy monitoring tool, as well as a green leaf icon in the two-sided printing features, reminding users to save paper by printing on both sides.
