Coca-Cola profits, revenues better in the third quarter

Investing.com – Coca-Cola (NYSE:KO) on Tuesday reported third-quarter earnings that topped analyst expectations and revenue topped forecasts.

The company reported earnings per share of $0.58 on revenue of $8.2 billion. Analysts polled by Investing.com expected EPS of $0.55 on revenue of $8.18 billion. This compared to EPS of $0.50 on revenue of $9.08 billion in the same period a year earlier. In the previous quarter, the company saw EPS of $0.61 on revenue of $8.9 billion.

Coca-Cola shares are up 1.26% for the year, outperforming the Dow 30, which is down 1.48% year-to-date.

On October 19, Procter&Gamble (NYSE:PG) observed first-quarter EPS of $1.12 on revenue of $16.69 billion compared to forecast EPS of $1.09 on revenue of $16.45 billion.

PepsiCo ( NASDAQ:PEP ) earnings on October 2 topped analyst expectations, with third-quarter EPS of $1.59 and revenue of $16.49 billion. Investing.com analysts expected EPS of $1.57 on revenue of $16.37 billion
