The backdoor installer gives hackers full control over devices in the courtroom

An update to the court recording software was infected with malware, providing constant access to still unknown cybercriminals.

That’s according to a new report by cybersecurity researcher Rapid7, who discovered the corruption and reported it to software developers. The plague has already been removed, but the effects of the attack on the supply chain are not yet fully known.
