TransDigm announces the acquisition of SEI Industries

On May 22, TransDigm Group Incorporated announced that it had completed the acquisition of SEI Industries LTD.

SEI Industries, based in Delta, British Columbia, is a leading provider of technologically advanced aerial firefighting products and other liquid transportation solutions such as remote refueling. Their innovative and world-famous Bambi bucket®, is a patented, foldable fire bucket used all over the world, among others, to fight forest fires. SEI provides exceptional after-sales support for the Bambi spoon® through 12 international repair plants. SEI’s revenues are derived from both the commercial and defense aerospace end markets, with approximately 85% of revenues coming from the aftermarket. The company employs approximately 80 people and is expected to generate revenues of approximately $30 million for the calendar year ending December 31, 2024.

The acquisition was financed with existing cash resources.
