The Cabinet of Ministers ordered regional energy distribution companies to draw up fair schedules for power outages. The government adopted a resolution establishing the rules for the allocation of power outages, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal – he said during the government meeting.

He emphasized that the importance of fair shutdown schedules had recently been highlighted, and an appropriate resolution was currently being adopted, which obliged regional energy companies to ensure a uniform and fair shutdown schedule.

According to the resolution, priority power supply will be given to critical infrastructure facilities, hospitals, military enterprises and enterprises carrying out mobilization tasks.

Shmyhal emphasized that government officials are working “every day” to improve the energy situation and have identified three key tasks: decentralization of the energy system and the development of renewable energy, further integration with the EU and increasing the capacity to import electricity, and repairs and renovations of critical facilities.
