Medio Atrato: Musical devices appear in Tanguí

The Victims Unit arrived in the Tanguí area of ​​Chocó to transport clothes and musical devices among various cultural sites as part of the Comprehensive Plan for Collective Reparations (PIRC) to strengthen the ancestral traditions of their communities for over 1,000 victims of the armed battle.

“We have completed cooperation with the district’s aid committee, which is working on the adoption of the application, in cooperation with the USAID agency, which in its marketing campaign is helping to create joint compensation packages and implement public insurance for victims. . Thanks to them, we focus on this beautiful area to strengthen its cultural elements. With this measure we have to enhance the themes of alabaos, dance and shawm music, Tanguí has ​​been outstanding in this all along and we imagine that with this measure we can enhance the so-called Chirimía 2 group of Tanguí”, pointed out María Fernanda Ángulo, director of the local branch for . victims in Chocó.

This cultural occasion further commemorated the official start of the adaptation and beautification of the Casa Grande de Tanguí, a public space that can be a historical monument of customs and memories, which could enable the organization of cultural, social and funeral conferences, since due to the degradation of the infrastructure these activities were not carried out on market.
