FIA updates pitlane regulations for Formula 1

To qualify for Formula 1 races, drivers must exit the pit lane in the correct order. However, sometimes drivers try to enter the line, causing problems.

Drivers don’t want to be behind because then they might not have a chance to complete laps. So they try to overtake others in line.

The Monaco track is very short. To get a good lap time, avoid traffic jams. So things could get even more intense on Saturday.

To solve this problem, Wittich, who manages the races, established new rules. Now drivers can only enter the fast lane when their front wheel has crossed a certain line.

Drivers can only enter the fast lane when their front wheel has crossed a certain line.

Under Wittich’s rules, a car is officially in the fast lane only when its tire passes the yellow line.

Drivers should also smoothly enter the fast lane without blocking others.

Wittich also said that if there is enough space, drivers can easily enter the fast lane.

Thanks to the new regulations, drivers will not be able to simply cut into the queue. They must wait for a clear break before joining the fast lane.
