Google blocks calls to Benedictine nuns, doctors and schools, says AT&T

Mobile giant AT&T (T) has taken its ongoing battle with Google over net neutrality to the next level. Literally. In the final round of the tiebreaker between the two arch-foes, AT&T accused Google (GOOG) of using its Internet voice calling app to block phone calls to Benedictine nuns.

In a letter sent to the Federal Communications Commission on Wednesday, AT&T disputes Google’s claim that the search giant blocks expensive numbers from its voice service that are disproportionately used by phones for sexually explicit calls. The letter came after the FCC launched an investigation last Friday into Google’s voice blocking.
