NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading lower at 10:54 am on Monday

The top gainers were Mawana Sugars Ltd. (up 3.31%), EID Parry(India) Ltd. (up 0.96%) and Avadh Sugar & Energy Ltd. (up 0.66%).

Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd. (down 2.91%), Balrampur Chini Mills Ltd. (down 1.78%), KCP Sugar & Industries Corporation Ltd. (down 1.68%), Dwawarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd. ( down 1.34%), KM Sugar Mills Ltd. (down 1.21%), Ponni Sugars(Erode) Ltd. (down 1.15%), Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals Ltd. (down 1, 11%), Ugar Sugar Works Ltd. (down 0.94%), Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd. (0.86% lost the most) and Kothari Sugars & Chemicals Ltd. (down 0.81%).

The NSE Nifty50 index rose 40.16 points to 22,997.25, while the 30-share BSE Sensex rose 203.2 points to 75,613.59 at around 10:54 am.

Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 3.81%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (up 1.4%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. (up 1.36%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (up by 1.35%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (increase by 1.06%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (increase by 0.98%), Hindalco Industries Ltd. (increase by 0.93%), Tata Steel Ltd. (up 0.78%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (up 0.76%) and LTIMindtree Ltd. (up 0.64%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. In turn, Adani Enterprises Ltd. (down by 2.35%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (down by 2.21%), Coal India Ltd. (down by 1.9%), Eicher Motors Ltd. (down by 1.73%), NTPC Ltd. (down by 1.66%), Wipro Ltd. (down by 1.65%), Britannia Industries Ltd. (down by 1.49%), Grasim Industries Ltd. ( drop by 1.44%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (down by 0.87%) and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. was trading in the red (down by 0.77%).
