The ninth edition celebrates unprecedented achievements in e-commerce with innovative categories and significant growth

KUALA LUMPUR, 25 May 2024 – The Malaysia Top E-Commerce Merchant Awards (Top ECM) 2024, now in its prestigious ninth edition, concluded with a grand ceremony that marked another milestone in the thriving e-commerce landscape in Malaysia. This renowned event celebrated the extraordinary innovations and sales achievements of local e-commerce entrepreneurs.

In a record year, the Top ECM Awards saw exceptional growth in total sales, reaching impressive levels Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) of RM109,189,877.00 with total orders of 2,383,904. This year, 516 sellers were shortlisted, a significant increase from 360 participants in 2023.. This An increase of 43.3%. highlights the significant economic impact of the event on the national e-commerce landscape. These sellers were rigorously evaluated for sales performance, business potential and marketing innovation by a panel of respected e-commerce industry judges.

They honored the ceremony with their presence Yang Berhormat Puan Hajah Fuziah Salleh, Deputy Minister of Internal Trade and Cost of Living, and Yang Berhormat Najwan Halimi, Member of the Selangor State Executive Council (EXCO) for Youth, Sports and Entrepreneurship. Their insights into the growth and challenges of the digital economy highlighted the national importance of developing e-commerce and government support for digital entrepreneurship.

This year’s winners were honored not only with cash prizes, but also with trophies and certificates in recognition of their hard work and success.
