Chapter 261 begins with Itadori Yuji engaged in a fierce battle with Ryomen Sukuna. Yuji struck a powerful blow to Sukuna’s heart, but the King of Curses retaliated by activating his Domain Expansion.

Just as Sukuna was about to deal the final blow to Yuji, Satoru Gojo shockingly returned to the battlefield.

Sukuna was clearly surprised. He killed Gojo by cutting him in half in chapter 263 during the Shinjuku Showdown series, but Gojo seemed completely healthy.

The King of Swearwords apologized to Yuta Okkotsu for disrespecting him, saying, “I didn’t think you were capable of doing that.”

The manga revealed that Jujutsu High, anticipating Gojo’s potential defeat, had developed a contingency plan. Despite opposition in the Jujutsu world, the plan was for Okkotsu to use the stolen Kenjaku cursed technique, which allowed him to control other bodies through brain transplantation.

Okkotsu then took control of Gojo’s body and continued fighting Sukuna. Before meeting Sukuna, Gojo eagerly agreed to the plan when Okkotsu explained it.

The Jujutsu High medical team, led by Shoko Ieiri, focused on keeping Gojo’s body alive after his apparent defeat and maintaining Okkotsu after his own defeat against Sukuna.

With the cursed Limitless technique and the Six Eyes at his disposal, Okkotsu, now inhabiting Gojo’s body, charged into battle.

Chapter 261 ended with both Gojo (via Okkotsu) and Sukuna activating their respective Domain Expansions – the Infinite Void and the Malevolent Shrine.

According to Shueisha’s official Manga Plus app, the next chapter of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga will be released Sunday, June 9, 11 p.m. (JST), Japanese Standard Time.

The Manga Plus post also mentioned that the schedule for Chapter 262 may change. Premiere times and schedules for overseas viewers vary depending on their time zone.
