Infant formula sold in Texas is being recalled due to non-compliance with regulations

Dairy Producers Inc. Retires all U.S. infant formula lot codes: Crecelac Infant 0-12, Farmalac 0-12 and Farmalac 0-12 Low lactose to retail and wholesale levels.

The products were found to be non-compliant with the requirements of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in accordance with Section 21 CFR 106.110 Registration of Neonatal Formulations.

Dairy Producers is conducting this voluntary recall because the affected products were sold in the U.S. in violation of FDA regulations for infant formula. This was found after notification to the FDA because the company failed to provide the required premarket notification.

The recall is not being made due to a known toxin or adulterant. Parents and guardians should understand that the products have not been evaluated by the FDA to determine whether they meet U.S. food safety and nutritional standards. No illnesses have been reported so far.

The products are labeled as infant formula and packaged in a 12.4-ounce cardboard/aluminum can. The products were sold exclusively in the state of Texas at the retail level. The recalled products are:
