Who are we looking for: A dynamic head of marketing, preferably with experience in the retail industry and excellent digital marketing knowledge.

What do you do:

The Head of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s marketing strategy and planning to increase brand awareness and reach, creating campaigns and content that will resonate with audiences, drive customer acquisition through leads, drive innovation within the company, and work closely with Marketing Directors . operational teams to ensure brand strategy is consistent across the company.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the South African target market, a hunger for customer knowledge and understanding, exceptional leadership skills, creativity and creative thinking, as well as a proven track record of managing successful marketing campaigns. Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic planning
  • Manage and monitor service providers to ensure they deliver agreed results and continually strive for improvement.

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience (over 10 years) in a senior marketing role, with a proven track record of successful marketing campaigns and team leadership.
  • Good knowledge of current digital marketing techniques and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to create shareholder presentations.
  • Strong reporting skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of marketing software and tools (e.g. CRM systems, Google Analytics, social media platforms).
