Investor dialogues on energy webinar: Net Neutral Industry Act

On Friday, June 7, Investors Dialogue on Energy will host its sixth webinar on the Net-Zero Industry Act!

Join us for a webinar with DG ENER and DG GROW to present the Net-Zero Industry Act (NZIA), key legislation changing the landscape for clean energy investment. As a key pillar of the European Commission’s Green Deal industrial plan, NZIA will increase the competitiveness and resilience of Europe’s net zero technology industry and will aim to support investment in the sector. NZIA sets a benchmark for the production capacity of net zero energy technologies to meet at least 40% of the EU’s annual deployment needs by 2030.

Why is this important?

A secure and robust supply of clean energy technologies is crucial to accelerating the energy transition. Despite the EU’s strong production base in sectors such as wind energy and heat pumps, EU market shares are declining. More than 90% of photovoltaic modules implemented in Europe come from China. To strengthen resilient value chains in Europe and diversify supply, the European Commission has introduced legislative initiatives such as the Critical Raw Materials Act and NZIA, offering new opportunities for energy and investment stakeholders.
