South Korean military releases footage of North Korean missile explosion

On Tuesday, the South Korean military released a video showing a North Korean missile exploding in midair shortly after it was launched. The footage was shot by a military patrol vessel deployed in the northwest of the country, South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said. A rocket launched by North Korea to deploy a second spy satellite in the country exploded after liftoff on Monday, state media reported, dashing leader Kim Jong Un’s hopes of launching satellites to monitor the United States and South Korea.
