Details of the Oppo Pad 3 have been leaked and it may be launched as OnePlus Pad 2 in India and other markets

Mobile phone maker Oppo is expected to launch its third-generation flagship Android tablet in 2024, which could debut outside its enhanced China as the OnePlus Pad 2. As reported by Notebookcheck and First, a recent leak that surfaced ahead of its official launch spotted by Mysmartprice, indicates whether the device will come with improved wired charging capabilities.

Oppo Pad 3 is speculated to be released globally as OnePlus Pad 2. OnePlus Pad 2 is likely to be launched in the second half (2H) of 2024. It will probably debut not only on global markets but also in India.

Oppo Pad 3 specifications and features (expected)

Oppo OPD2404 recently received approval for sale in China from safety regulator 3C. This new listing is speculated to be for the “Pad 3” as it includes details about charging speeds. The leak further suggests that the tablet will come with a new VCB7OACH charger, with a model number similar to the chargers typically shipped with Oppo or OnePlus devices for testing purposes, the report added.

Famous leaker Digital Chat Station recently revealed the key specifications of the upcoming Oppo Pad 3. According to DCS, the Pad 3 will feature a 12.1-inch LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, 900 nits peak brightness, and 3K resolution. It is also said that the tablet will feature a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera.

The device supports the same 67W SuperVOOC charging technology as the Pad 2 (also OnePlus Pad), which is consistent with reports suggesting that the next-generation tablet will have largely unchanged battery capacity. As a result, it’s likely that the main improvements to the Oppo Pad 3/OnePlus Pad 2 will focus on a new screen and System on Chip (SoC), potentially matching the specifications of the flagship OnePlus 12 smartphone recently discovered online. Additionally, the tablet will reportedly come with a 9,510mAh battery, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision support and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port.
