Yummy! Brand profits, revenues better in Q3

Investing.com – Yum! Brands (NYSE:YUM) on Wednesday reported third-quarter earnings that topped analyst expectations and revenue topped forecasts.

The company reported earnings per share of $1.04 on revenue of $1.39 billion. Analysts polled by Investing.com forecast EPS of $0.84 on revenue of $1.38 billion. This compared to EPS of $0.68 on revenue of $1.44 billion in the same period a year earlier. In the previous quarter, the company saw EPS of $0.82 on revenue of $1.37 billion.

For a year, Yum! Brands shares rose 5.91%, outperforming the S&P 500 Index, which is down 0.04% year to date.

On October 25, Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) observed Q3 EPS of $5.75 on revenue of $56.58 billion compared to forecast EPS of $3.08 on revenue of $57.11 billion .

Visa (NYSE:V) earnings on Oct. 24 topped analyst expectations, with fourth-quarter EPS of $1.21 and revenue of $5.43 billion. Investing.com analysts expected EPS of $1.2 on revenue of $5.44 billion
