The company has confirmed that it will launch the Xiaomi 14 Civi in ​​India on June 12, 2024. The company’s latest smartphone will sell Leica cameras priced under Rs 50,000 for the first time in India. The brand is looking to disrupt the market by introducing cutting-edge features and specifications in the latest Xiaomi 14 Civi smartphone.

In 2022, Xiaomi partnered with Leica to release Xiaomi 12S Ultra, the first smartphone with Leica lenses. The brand didn’t end there; has introduced a slew of Leica-branded smartphones, including the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 series, Xiaomi 13 and more.

However, they were mainly intended for the global market, and the Xiaomi 13 Pro was launched in the Indian market only last year. This year, the brand also introduced Xiaomi 14, which uses Leica lenses – however, the flagship smartphone is aimed at the premium segment.

Now we have the Redmi Note 13 series, which covers the mid-range segment with the high-end Redmi Note 13 Pro+, which is priced at Rs 34,999 for the top-spec variant. With the company planning to bridge the gap between the premium and mid-range segments with a new affordable flagship smartphone, the brand is launching the Xiaomi 14 Civi.

Anuj Sharma, Xiaomi India’s chief marketing officer, confirmed that the company is gearing up to launch the smartphone priced around Rs. 50,000, Xiaomi 14 Civi. This makes this phone the first smartphone in India to feature Leica lenses.

The sub-Rs 50,000 segment is currently one of the quieter segments in the country, with brands such as OnePlus and iQoo dominating it in terms of product range. OnePlus 12R is the brand’s current smartphone in this segment, while iQoo 12 is another example of providing flagship-class features at an affordable price segment. But apart from that, we don’t have that much competition. That’s why Xiaomi is targeting this segment with its latest Xiaomi 14 Civi.

The brand plans to launch Leica-branded lenses, which should increase its appeal and provide other top-notch features. We hope that the company will introduce some, if not all, of the features and customizations that it has developed with Leica in the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Civi smartphone.

The company has also revealed some key features and specifications of the Xiaomi 14 Civi, which gives us a hint about the upcoming affordable flagship device.

The brand has confirmed that the upcoming phone will feature a triple camera setup on the rear panel. You’ll get a 50-megapixel Summilux primary sensor, a 50-megapixel telephoto portrait lens, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.

Moreover, the brand also confirmed that the smartphone will be equipped with a dual selfie camera, which will be another novelty in this segment for 2024. We will get a 32-megapixel main lens and a 32-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.

In terms of display, the Xiaomi 14 Civi will feature a quad-curvature display, which will again be a first in this segment. The display will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The phone will be equipped with an AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5 thousand. and a screen refresh rate of 120 Hz. It also has HDR10+, Dolby Vision, stereo speakers and over 68 billion colors.

The handset will have an elegant casing with a thickness of 7.6 mm. Interestingly, the rear camera module will come with a star-shaped camera ring. It will be available in Cruise Blue, Matcha Green with a vegan leather finish, and Shadow Black with a matte finish.

The brand also confirmed that the phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. The phone will be loaded with Xiaomi HyperOS. In terms of battery, the Xiaomi 14 Civi will be equipped with a 47,000 mAh battery with 67 W Turbo Charge support.
