India’s agrochemical sector will expand by 9%

India’s agrochemicals business, currently valued at around $10 billion, is expected to reach over $14.5 billion by the end of fiscal year 2027-28, according to a survey by the analytics services provider. He informs about it

India is currently the world’s second largest exporter of agrochemicals. The source said this steady growth highlights India’s growing importance in the global agrochemical export market.

The source further said that in order to increase domestic production, the Indian government has implemented a number of policies such as recognizing agrochemicals as one of the 12 most important industries and restricting the import of unregistered pesticide formulations.
