ZeroFox Founder James C. Foster Named Executive Chairman

David Muse, experienced software executive, named CEO

Andrew McKenna has been appointed Chief Financial Officer and James McCarthy has taken over as Chief Financial Officer

WASHINGTON, May 28, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — ZeroFox Holdings, Inc. (“ZeroFox”), a leading third-party cybersecurity provider, today announced that David Muse has been named Chief Executive Officer. James C. Foster, founder of ZeroFox, will become executive chairman and will remain actively involved in helping the company grow. Muse joins ZeroFox from Elemica, a leading digital supply chain software organization for B2B industries, where he previously served as CEO. ZeroFox also announced the appointments of Andrew McKenna as chief financial officer, replacing Tim Bender, and James McCarthy as chief revenue officer, replacing Scott O’Rourke. The appointments of Mr. Muse and Mr. McKenna are effective immediately and Mr. McCarthy will join the Company on June 3, 2024.

Mr. Muse is a seasoned CEO with a proven track record of identifying and pursuing growth opportunities and driving product innovations that deliver greater value to customers. Throughout his career, he has focused on developing top talent and creating a positive organizational culture where collaboration, transparency and customer focus are a top priority.

David Muse Biography

Mr. Muse’s extensive global leadership experience includes serving as CEO of Elemica, a leading digital supply chain network connecting many of the world’s largest manufacturers with their direct material suppliers, logistics providers and end customers. Muse also previously served as CEO of Dharma Platform, President and CEO of Enviance, and COO of P2 Energy Solutions. Muse also held leadership positions at Honeywell, Aspen Technology and IBM Global Business Services. He earned an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor’s degree in industrial distribution from Texas A&M University, where he served as an adjunct professor. Muse received Comparably’s Top CEO Award for 2021, 2022 and 2023, and was named one of Comparably’s Top CEOs for Diversity and Women in 2021.

Andrew McKenna Biography

As a seasoned technology finance leader, Mr. McKenna brings progressive experience in private equity-backed software companies. McKenna most recently served as Elemica’s CFO, where he led the finance and human resources functions. Prior to joining Elemica, McKenna served as Vice President of Financial Planning and Treasury at Frontline Education, a SaaS provider focused on administrative processes in education, during a period of significant organic and inorganic growth that led to its sale to Roper Technologies. Prior to joining Frontline, McKenna was CFO of the Corporate Liquidity and Bank Treasury group at Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. and held various accounting and corporate finance positions at SunGard Data Systems. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Saint Joseph’s University.

James McCarthy Biography

Mr. McCarthy is an experienced cybersecurity sales leader who most recently served as Vice President of Americas Sales at Forcepoint, a leading user and data security company. Previously, McCarthy was Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Cyera, an enterprise cloud data security company, and Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Digital Guardian, an enterprise security leader in data loss prevention solutions for large and mid-sized organizations . He received his BA and MBA from Elon University.
